Authorize Mayor and Finance Officer to Sign Agreement Between the City of Rapid City and Larry Stevens and Mary Stevens for Purchase of H-Lot
Summary:
Mr. & Mrs. Stevens own property located at 4784 Enchanted Pines Road.  City Staff has been negotiating with property owners for the acquisition of right-of-way for the extension of a sanitary sewer line, and the result of those negotiations is the Agreement linked.  The Agreement calls for the platting by survey of a highway lot (“h-lot”) which will be acquired by deed. The lot will be deeded as public right-of-way.  The Council has previously approved a Resolution of Necessity authorizing the City Attorney to proceed with eminent domain if needed.  With approval of this Agreement, condemnation proceedings will not be initiated or required.
